“Health Insurance Claims & EOBS: Who, What, When, Where and How”
Dealing with medical bills, health insurance claim forms and EOBs can be a major challenge to professional organizers. By answering the five questions: Who? What? When? Where? and How? we can identify the claims process, what papers need to be kept, how they can be filed, for how long, and what needs to be tracked and by what method.
Whether a professional organizer is entering a home to do an organizing project, or is hired to work on an ongoing basis, knowing what to do with medical bills, health insurance claims forms and EOBs is important. This presentation will provide guidelines which should make the work less daunting.
Please join our own NAPO-NY Member Rebecca Eddy who has been a Financial Organizer since 1990. She is a founding partner of Eddy & Schein In-Home Administrators for Seniors® and has presented at four NAPO conferences on financial organizing for seniors, aging in place, and paperwork during estate settlements. She holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and is certified as a Professional Daily Money Manager.
